Half way there and the Jeanne breakup

At 21 weeks, I'm half way along and it hasn't been that bad.

Sickness: There wasn't too much of it and it stopped after 12 weeks which was great. If I didn't eat as often as my body would want me to, I would throw up. It's been rather humorous. I threw up in the middle the Chinese New Year in Chinatown because I saw a dead bird on the ground. Everyone probably thought I was wasted. Or on my way driving to class, I manage to throw up covering myself from my hair to butt. Funny now, but not at the time. I obviously did not go to class that day.

Food: I don't have cravings, I just know what I don't want to eat. And I might eat taco bell weekly but that has to stop because my acid reflux is killing me. No more spicy foods.
Pickles are good and I can easily finish a jar in a day but that is nothing new with pregnancy-- I've always loved pickles and pickle juice. Cameron thinks I'm weird.

Clothing: I'm in this weird zone. Most of my normal clothes are not zipping up but maternity clothes seem to be too big.

The baby boy: The kicks are so fun to feel! I've been feeling them a lot lately. Whenever class gets boring, I just am entertained by his little kicks! My baby is as long as a carrot!

The Jeanne Breakup
Breakups are never fun to do. Towards the end of last week, we broke the news to Jeanne that we're moving out and quitting the job. Jeanne doesn't let anyone work there who has kids or is pregnant, even if it's just a day pregnant. She is a little old-fashion and feels extremely responsible for anything that could happen to the unborn baby while on her time. So therefore, it was time for us to quit.

We can't tell Jeanne the real reason why we're leaving (baby on the way) because she won't let me work the remaining time that we're here (that means I have to hide my little bump from her). We told her that my school schedule is crazy busy (which is in-fact currently true). She tried to negotiate with us so that we could stay with her longer and she pleaded with us to stay with her until her death. But I insisted that my school work plus her job would be too hard on me and that we better move out at the end of the semester.

I was almost hoping for her to get angry and throw a tantrum (which she is fully capable of and happens quite often) but she was just sad. And then it made me sad and... kind of relieved at the same time. :)
I'll be excited to start the next chapter of our lives even if it does mean going from a four bedroom house to a one-bedroom apartment. It will be so so so worth it. Jeanne's mansion has been an interesting learning experience for the last two years but baby or not, I'm definitely through with it.

Work with Jeanne thus far: Obviously, I'm still hiding it from her. I only got super sick once while i was with her and I made it to a bathroom soon enough. It's been hard to deal with her, not feeling myself sometimes, and massive school work on top of that. Sweatshirts or baggy shirts are a must for hiding the baby bump.

Poor Jeanne, she sounded heartbroken! I bet it is a releif to know that you don't have to do her hectic work anymore though. Are you moving into TVA? Good luck hiding the baby bump!

Goodness! I can't believe your keeping it a secret from her that's pretty hilarious! Hey ya gotta so what you gotta do. I would get sick when I didn't eat enough too, I'd have many snacks I'd carry around.

Oh my gosh! I love this! Jeanne is crazy! I miss living in the house all the time...but I don't think I've missed Jeanne more than once or twice (for about a split second) since we've been gone. You'll have fun at TVA and it will be so nice not to have the stress of Jeanne. I want to see belly pics too! Oh and the Bella Band is amazing. I was able to wear my normal jeans my whole pregnancy with that thing. Feeling the baby move is so exciting! I'm so excited you're having a boy! Ahh I need to come visit!

I love the acid reflux part and I love that we both have heartburn even when we're not pregnant. Try the Maalox chewable tablets-- I went through 4 bottles of that during pregnancy. It saved my life! I can't wait to see pics, you little rebel, you! Call you soon, XO

I can't wait to see you with a belly! You will look amazing. You are at that very awkward stage where nothing fits... I hated that part. I just bought bigger shirts and rubberbanded my pants.

AND that's pretty awesome that you threw up all over yourself!

My Aunt, Uncle and two cousins used to live there and I'm pretty sure my aunt did what you do and my uncle did what Cameron does. They had some pretty major family drama happen before they left, that's probably why she is really strict about the no kids thing. I'll have to explain it to you at church sometime, it's crazy. Anyways, I'm glad for you, although it seems like a good position it's also taxing to work for someone like Jeanne. She's an interesting lady!

ok, I have been missing out, girl!! Did NOT know you had a blog or I would have started following a long ago! I started reading through some of my own posts today, as well as reading some comments, and found a comment from YOU I'd never seen before! So now I'll have to catch up on the life of Cameron and Lindsay and baby Rondo...so excited! Love you, beautiful!
