On the Eve of New Years Eve, I decided to throw a last minute dinner party for some friends, one being from out of town. Everything fell into place and the party was delightful. We had wonderful food and warmly welcomed the new year with laughs, full tummies, and poppers. Sometimes it's the gatherings I prepare the least for that I enjoy the most.

your last line is exactly it! "sometimes the parties I prepare the least for, I enjoy the most" It's so true! I rarely throw parties, but it always seems to work that way! Happy New year!!
