easy going

Yay for relaxing days! Days where there is little that has to be done. Days that are filled with cupcakes, library books, and grandma. Days where you don't feel like cooking anything for dinner so you go walk to the store and buy a rotisserie chicken. Days where you just take it easy. Days where you enjoy the evening, read with the husband, watch American Idol, and finish it off with a lavender bath. Days that are just right.

And this blouse that I'm wearing, it sits in the back end of my closet where the clothes don't get filed out much. Today I threw the old thing on to go out. I bought it when I was feeling rather pregnant with Krew. Although it is not a maternity blouse (just from normal forever21) and I am not pregnant, I can't stand to wear it. There were just some normal things that I wore a lot while being pregnant that have been labeled in my mind as "maternity". And now those items are ruined mentally. I put it on today and it just felt odd. So goodbye cute blouse. You are fine but I'm just having issues with you. Maybe it's your empire waist or your flowy midsection but I'll put you away until I need you again. You're awfully cute though. It's not you, it's me.

My mom had a dress she wore when she was pregnant and then again when she wasn't, and I was always worried that once I wore something as "maternity" I could never see it normally again. This didn't happen for most of my clothes, probably because I wore Shade shirts and cardigans most of the time. But I did have one F21 maternity shirt (made for pregnancy) that I thought would be cute even with a flat stomach, but, nah I just don't think I could do it.

Yay!!

p.s. - It is a lovely blouse. But, if it feels odd, goodbye is the right thing to do. I think.

For some reason, when the sun comes out and the weather warms up, I feel less of a need to clean the house and tackle big projects. Summer is time to play! And I totally understand the maternity clothes mentality. You're not alone.

PS Little boys look so incredibly cute with a tie! Where do you find outfits like that at a good price?

The best sort of days. You blouse looks adorable. But I know the "maternity" clothes feeling.
