eat off of my toilet.

Work was so easy today. In the morning, Rachele and I cooked food and watered the plant room. In the afternoon, there wasn't much left to do. Jeanne was busy watching tennis and trying to figure out her on-going minor computer problems so we just hung out in the bathroom. We first painted our nails black which is one of my favorite nail polish colors yet didn't turn out to be Rachel's. :)

Then we discussed the book I'm reading, The Five Languages of Love, which is quite interesting... I'm excited to see what Cameron and I's results are for the quiz in the back.

and then we talked about our must be done chores. Rachele loves laundry and making her bed. I must have my toilet and the floor around it clean enough for someone to eat off it (a result of growing up with 6 brothers that have aiming issues). I think everyone has their little must be done chore. Right?

No working out today. My body is way to sore from this week's past workouts.
and that concludes my extremely exciting day. ha.

It was Cameron's first day of Summer semester today. Good job Cam. He's such a great student and a hard worker. And so fun. This is him the other night being gangsta Cam.

SD in a nutshell

I had such a great time in san diego and there couldn't have been a better week to go.
Why? Well...

little nephew Trey was born,

I through a Bachelorette Party for my best friend Heather,

my best friend Heather got married,

and father's day.

It was seriously such a nice trip. I'm so excited for Lance and Kristi and their future adventures with baby Trey! He was probably one of the cutest little boys I've ever seen. And he is so lucky to have such great parents.
Heather looked absolutely amazing at her wedding. Her husband Jon is more than I could ask for for my best friend. I'm so lucky to have grown up with the most wonderful friend. Heather is a one of a kind girl and i don't know a soul who doesn't love her. She is such an amazing girl and i love her so much!
And my dad, it was so good to see him of course and celebrate Father's day. He too is an amazing person. Such an on-going example to me in every way. I actually see a lot of similarities with him and Cameron. I love my parents and i miss them so much!

i am surrounded by amazing people.

and of course i missed Cameron terribly during that time. it was our first time apart and he was starting to eat McDonald's by the end of my stay haha... San Diego isn't the same without him. I'm looking forward to the day when Cameron and I are in San Diego to stay.

i do regret I didn't eat a single California burrito. :)

ooh la la...

late wedding presents rock my world!and food journals can be depressing at times but motivational at others.
Since I’m going home next week for heather’s wedding, I figured I need a killer tan so I look like I’m actually living in Hawaii. Not that I wasn’t tan before, I just wanted a little more. Today I come home on lunch and decide to lay out for an hour or so in the backyard. I set up the towel and douse myself in tanning oil and here comes a nice thick layer of clouds that looks like rain. And it rained…. Welcome to Hawaii. So much for that.
Maybe this weekend the sun gods will be on my side ...

I want a sewing machine sooo bad right now! I love sewing (even though i'm horrible at it) and I really want to get better at it (of course Project Runway has greatly influence this desire… they’re amazing!). Hopefully i'll have one in the near future!

life lesson of the day: Don’t add grapefruit to your smoothie. It makes it extremely bitter (unless you like that) and the only way to fix it is to add a bunch of sugar, defeating the purpose of a healthy smoothie.

So since the surf has been down, Cameron and I have been doing lots of fun things (not that surfing isn't fun). Two weekends ago, we hiked China Man's Hat with the Nelsons and then this last weekend we did Crouching Lion. Holy Cow long hike! 5 hour long hike and two days later, my legs are still sore. It had some awesome views thought. And some pretty scary trails where there were drop offs on both sides of you and you're on this little tiny ridge. here's some pics!

After Crouching Lion, even though I felt like dying, it was such a cool feeling! The experience was amazing and so worth it.

And I'm so excited for my brother Brad and my sister-in law Ashley! Their expecting their first!! They are going to be such great parents.
I have so much to do today. Lots of homework I need to get to. I absolutely love talking to my mom. I think we talk over an hour a day (thank heaven for unlimited minutes). I can't wait to see her and the fam. Lil sis Courtney has requested that we go to Ikea together (ya, she's 5).
