doughnuts

When you are craving sweet doughnuts (not me, Cameron) and the malasada truck isn't in town, why not make some out of Pillsbury dough! Cameron was in charge of dipping them in sugar but I think it quickly turned into dumping sugar on them.We were very proud of our delicious mini doughnuts and between the two of us, they disappeared pretty quickly.

Not so fast, baby...

Last week, Baby tried to make a run for it! Contractions were 2 minutes apart (not painful ones though-- just tightening) and I found out I am dilated to a 4! ( I've still got a month to go) That was kind of a surprise. I had to stay in the hospital to get monitored over night. Cameron was a good sport and stayed with me. He tried to wear a hospital gown to bed but I wouldn't let him. After lots of monitoring and a night stay in the hospital, everything calmed down and we went home.

Since I was only 35 weeks at the time, we need baby to cook just a little longer.

quilting... how mommyish.

(Please ignore the pants on the bed ... I would have taken another picture but the blanket is now packed away until baby comes)

I just finished this quilt! And I probably won't make another one like it until my next baby. :)
I didn't use a pattern so measuring everything was kind of a pain but I'm pleased with the end result. And my favorite part is the fabric with all the Hawaii surf spots on it.

I hope baby enjoys it.

33 Weeks

Only 7 weeks to go! That is crazy!

Still feeling good...

Baby is doing great! Kicking away! Right when we lay down to go to bed, Cameron likes to gently shake my belly so the baby starts kicking and then Cameron falls asleep. Then I am left up with Cameron asleep next to me and the baby is kicking from inside me... it makes me laugh.

Getting my baby goods together...

I think I'm starting to feel that 85 degree summer heat worse than others. I think our A/C is on its way... thank heaven. Whether it's in the ocean or pool, swimming always feels great!
I have to rest my legs a lot more than I used to but I don't mind it.

Cameron and I are official graduates of birthing class! Woo hoo!
Even though it was a bit much for Cameron at times (especially the real birth videos), we made it through. I really enjoyed going and I thought it was very useful for both of us. I feel more comfortable and knowledgeable about what to expect.

A little visit from Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa came to say hi to us in Hawaii! It was so nice to visit with them and they are so fun to be around. We had fun talking, visiting Sunset Beach, eating with them, and hanging out at their pool in Waikiki.
It was so great to see these faces!
