Need a job?

Need a job or know someone who does?
A guy and his two daughters stopped me in Foodland and offered me this job but I told him I couldn't take it but I could maybe find someone else.

This guy is looking for a babysitter/tutor (I'm sure he's preferring a female) for his two daughters that looked about 9 and 11 (seemed like sweet girls). I think he said he needs someone from 3:30-7pm every school day. They live on the north shore behind Pupukea Foodland. You would have to find your own transportation and I'm not sure what the pay is. He said he's had girls from Laie do this in the past. I'm not sure if he minds if you have a baby or not... I didn't' get a lot of details.

My San Diego Excursion

As an early birthday present, I decided to go to San Diego for a week. My friend/ex roommate Rachelle was getting married and my other friends/ex roommates, Kristin and Chelsey, were going to be in town as well. It was a mini reunion. Kristin was able to stay at my parents house with me so it was fun to show her around San Diego and to also see it myself! Mom and I did lots of shopping and it was so great to spend time with my family. They're all still so young so every time I visit they're so much older looking. Kristin, Ashley my sister in law, and I went to Extraordinary Desserts (one of my all time favorite places) and it was divine! Next day,the family, Kristin, and I all went to Knott's Berry Farm (theme park) and that was a blast too. After Knott's Berry Farm, Kristin and I joined up with the apt. 507 girls in Huntington Beach for dinner. Saturday was a beautiful sunny day at the beach so Kristin and I soaked up some sun. Later that night we went to Rachelle's wonderful wedding reception. She looked amazing and so so happy.
It was so fun to see and spend time with so many faces I'm not usually able to see.

Easter 2009

Easter was such a delight. It was only the two of us to share a special Easter day. Sometimes it's really fun to enjoy a holiday with just the two of us.
Cameron woke me up by placing our large Easter basket sent from Grandma Corky and Grandpa Norris on the bed right next to my face. I woke up a little later, we went to church, enjoyed learning about Christ, and then headed back home. I was supposed to sing with the ward choir but unfortunately woke up without a voice.
At home we finally opened up our Easter basket full of goodies! So much candy! I think I was a little more excited than Cameron about the candy. Cameron also got me some beautiful pink flowers the night before-- they looked perfect for Easter. We decided to have our dinner early. We picked out some good looking salmon from Costco for our Easter feast and boy was it delicious. We also made Jello Easter eggs (thank you g-ma) and passed them out to a few of our friends on our bikes. Later, we watched "Mama Mia" and Cameron was so kind to sit through it all. :) What a great Easter.

school

Yes, I'm a BYU- Hawaii Seasider. I'm taking classes this spring. Finally! It's time I move on in my life and finish my Bachelors degree. Luckily my boss has been accepting of this idea. I missed the first day of classes on Monday (was still in San Diego) but I'm jumping in tomorrow. And don't worry, I even have a new outfit for my first day of school. :) I completed my associates degree plus a little more at BYU-Idaho and so I should have roughly a year left. I'm continuing with a (very different than BYU-I) Communications degree and I'm already stressing about my 300 level Spanish class I have to take this fall...it's been a while. I'm excited for Cameron and I to be studying together-- to both have a lot of homework rather than one or the other!

I love a little change every once in a while to keep life fresh and this change is good.

Rondo Family Visit

We had great visit with the Rondo family. Alan and Shannon came last Friday and spoiled us non-stop till they left! They cooked, they cleaned, they did everything! It was probably more of a vacation for us than it was for them! Even though Cameron and I (mostly Cameron) were busy with work and school, we still had a blast. We enjoyed stand up paddle boarding with them in downtown Waikiki, hanging out at the beach, surfing, eating yummy food, watching movies, getting pedicures, eating ice cream and just hanging out at home. I really could not have better in-laws.
Joining us a few days later was Lance, Kristi, and baby Trey! We loved spending time with them. We have only seen Trey a few times before this visit so it was nice to have time to play! Talk about an easy going kid! He is so calm and I don't think I heard him cry once. All the guests were so helpful with everything. It was so fun being together all in one house. Cameron and I look forward to the time we get to live closer to our family.

I was thinking the other day of how fun it has been to have visitors. If we stayed in San Diego, when would we have the opportunity to spend a week together with our parents/siblings/grandparents/friends? We wouldn't have. Unfortunately we can't be on vacation with them but we can still enjoy their company.
