ooh la la...
late wedding presents rock my world!
and food journals can be depressing at times but motivational at others.

Since I’m going home next week for heather’s wedding, I figured I need a killer tan so I look like I’m actually living in Hawaii. Not that I wasn’t tan before, I just wanted a little more. Today I come home on lunch and decide to lay out for an hour or so in the backyard. I set up the towel and douse myself in tanning oil and here comes a nice thick layer of clouds that looks like rain. And it rained…. Welcome to Hawaii. So much for that.
Maybe this weekend the sun gods will be on my side ...
I want a sewing machine sooo bad right now! I love sewing (even though i'm horrible at it) and I really want to get better at it (of course Project Runway has greatly influence this desire… they’re amazing!). Hopefully i'll have one in the near future!

life lesson of the day: Don’t add grapefruit to your smoothie. It makes it extremely bitter (unless you like that) and the only way to fix it is to add a bunch of sugar, defeating the purpose of a healthy smoothie.

So since the surf has been down, Cameron and I have been doing lots of fun things (not that surfing isn't fun). Two weekends ago, we hiked China Man's Hat with the Nelsons and then this last weekend we did Crouching Lion. Holy Cow long hike! 5 hour long hike and two days later, my legs are still sore. It had some awesome views thought. And some pretty scary trails where there were drop offs on both sides of you and you're on this little tiny ridge.
here's some pics!

After Crouching Lion, even though I felt like dying, it was such a cool feeling! The experience was amazing and so worth it.
And I'm so excited for my brother Brad and my sister-in law Ashley! Their expecting their first!! They are going to be such great parents.
I have so much to do today. Lots of homework I need to get to. I absolutely love talking to my mom. I think we talk over an hour a day (thank heaven for unlimited minutes). I can't wait to see her and the fam. Lil sis Courtney has requested that we go to Ikea together (ya, she's 5).

i got tagged!
So my dear friend Stephanie tagged me so here it goes!
1. What was I doing 10 yrs. ago?:
Well, I was in fifth grade and probably super into the Spice Girls (oh
and we had a spice girls club!) and Sean Lopez (the heartthrob of 5th grade). I was going to a Fine Arts Magnet Education school (F.A.M.E) so we were probably working on some performance. And Heather and I were probably taking some stupid glamor shots to pass out to all of our friends....haha they're hilarious to look at now.
2. Five things that are currently on my "to do" List:
Well, there's a lot more than 5 but it would be: Clean up house, do some ab workouts, read scriptures, check homework, and go to the gym. :)
3. If I was a billionaire, I would...
Oh gosh, this could be long. I would first buy a house... no make it two. One on the North Shore (a little south of Sunset) and then one on Neptune Ave. in Encinitas, California. And maybe a cabin in Big Bear or Tahoe. I'm not that big of a car person but I might buy a new one. But I am a big shopper!!!! I would fly to Calgary, Canada and buy the $200 Aritzia TNA
lounge outfit that fits like a dream (and so comfy!) and probably buy tons of clothes! And then I would hit LuLu Lemon for every workout outfit possible (they're pants are about $100 a pop). I would hit Sephora and the puppy shop. And then plan a vacation to New York, Europe, and Fiji.
The list can go on but I won't. :) And of course, I would buy Cameron everything he wanted too.
4. My bad habits are:
Procrastinating... sometimes I amaze myself with how good I am at this. Another one would be throwing my clothes on the floor
. Biting my nails when I get bored... or biting off my finger nail polish. Over eating on chocolate or anything sweet just because it tastes so darn good. Oh and I love chocolate for breakfast!
5. Places I have lived:
San Diego, Ca
Rexburg, ID
Hauula, HI
(and then returning to San Diego)
6. Jobs I've had:
Hollister Co. - 2yrs. sales associate (my high school job)
Receptionist at Accounting Firm
Office manager for 3 T-Mobile stores
Vanpool Hawaii- Marketing
Personal assistant/slave to Miss Jeanne :)

i dislike homework.
this is me completely procrastinating my homework.
boo hiss.
tomorrow I have the day off....how nice. And guess what's it's going to be filled with...
homework.
I'm excited to go home in less than a month! I'm hoping to make some serious shopping trips and see a whole bunch of faces! and hopefully the face of my new nephew? We'll see!
And I'm so excited for Heather, my best friend, who is getting married on June 13th. It's all coming so soon.
Last night was so much fun. We had 6 friends over for dinner for enchiladas (which i had never made before last night) some other sides and homemade ice cream cake! It was so good and sooo delicious. And it literally takes 15 minutes to make and you could probably do it blind folded.
Here is the link for the super yummy ice cream cake:
http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/CookingSchool/StepByStepRecipes/DessertRecipes/IceCreamCake.htm
Grab an extra cool whip as well. You'll need more than the recipe says.I was proud of myself for last night's dinner considering I had never made any of it before I made it for 8 people.

busy bees...
I haven't had the chance to write in here for a while! Cameron and i have been working non-stop the last three weeks. The other couple that we work with at the mansion went to Europe for 3 weeks and so Cameron and I were running the show.
The job has turned out to be so nice for us! Cameron and I work together when we're around the mansion and when Jeanne and I are out and about, I get paid to go out to lunch, watch movies, or shop with her. She is seriously such a hoot. Moving there in July will be a dream.
Right now I'm laying out in the backyard even though I'm totally ignoring everything I need to do today. A girl's gotta get her tan.
Cameron and I have been working out tons (sometimes twice a day) and eating super healthy (lots of smoothies!) Our neighbors probably hear the blender go off every hour or so. But it feels great! I have such an issue though with wanting to see results instantly but reminding myself that it's going to come over time... or hopefully it will. I always edited Cameron's surf magazines before they get to him and this month's was the swimsuit edition so while editing it, it was great motivation to get me to the gym even more. :)
Last night, we went to the World FireSword dancing competition at the PCC. It was so good! And they even have a little kids division where 6 yr. olds are throwing fire around!! Hahaha... it was really entertaining.
Cameron buckled his board yesterday at Pupukea so looks like we're buying another one of those soon.
School is kicking our tushies right now so usually after the gym, it's a nice visit to the library for homework.
Well gotta go turn over to tan!

I hate needles.
Soooooooo..... yesterday i had to get a TB test for work (as most jobs require here). I was dreading it all day. Cameron agreed to come with me because I told him that I might pass out. Sometimes I get dizzy when needles are around. Anyhow, we went to the north shore and then on the way back decided to go get the TB test done with. I started feeling dizzy right when i got there but worked through it until I got in the room to do it. I warned the nurse that I faint and she said okay and went on. It kinda hurt but wasn't bad and I finished. And then... I started feeling dizzy.
Okay that's the usual. I'll just put my head down in between my legs so I can get blood flowing back up to it.
Cameron called me back up to go and I didn't respond back. He lifted up my head and I was drooling! (how embarrassing!!) Several nurses and a doctor came over and about 45 seconds later I woke back up while crying. I said to them while crying, "I think I passed out." It took a while to get out the door and Cameron brought the car up to the front.
For making it through the TB test, Cameron got me a ice cream sundae for my treat. :)
I hate needles.
I felt bad for Cameron but it was kinda funny afterwards.
I went over and held neighbor baby Gwen today! She's adorable and so is miss Addy. And it's neighbor baby Eden's first birthday tomorrow!! Babies all over!!
Okay... well it's off to the gym. Gotta work off the tube of BBQ Pringles I just ate. :)

Crazy week so far... goodness. well i quit my job at Vanpool Hawaii and started a new one the next day. my last job was great and payed really well, but my new one is better. :) Now I'm working at a mansion in Hauula that is literally 2 minutes away and eventually Cameron and I will both be working there and living on the property in a 4 bedroom guest house for free (if everything goes as planned). But for now, I will be working part time at the mansion doing whatever Jeannie, the owner, wants me to do. I decided that I didn't want to remember Hawaii as , "oh, I worked the whole time in Honolulu" but rather as having tons of fun and more time with Cameron enjoying the island even if that means living a little tighter than before. So I will probably get another part time job to work at untill I start working full time at the mansion with Cameron.
It feels great though. I know it was a good choice and Cameron agrees with that. :)
so... this morning, Cameron and I headed off for the north shore at about 8 am and picked up Poppy on the way there. After checking a few points, rocky rights was chosen for this morning's surf sesh. Cameron was way excited to get out there and so we hurried out and I set up my little camp on the sand and wrote in my journal and read a bit.
the boys looked like they were having fun and to my suprise I looked up and saw Cameron coming in rather early. He had a bummed out face on, was limping, and I realize he broke the tip of his board off (still fixable though). bummmmer....I asked him how he did it and then he showed me his leg, his tip broke off by hitting his leg. (he was mostly bummed about his board) i got some stuff to clean him up from the life guard, got Poppy to come in, and headed home. Atleast Cameron said he got a good barrel on the wave he did the damage on haha...
I have a feeling that while living in Hawaii, we might be going through boards like underwear.
:) we'll have to make a board emergency savings account.

Okay... so Cameron saw my last blog (that I was so proud of) and was horribly embarrassed that I had posted those pictures of him surfing. So he kindly guided me to some better ones (thank you!) and so Cameron, this is for you. :)

!
Haha... I like the last one. Anyways, Cameron is very talented and so sweet. I just love him.
:)
Today Cameron and I drove to Honolulu together so I could go to work and he could go to the dentist. After, we went to Ross returned stuff and bought a plate ($2 was my budget :) ), went to Home Depot and bought a tool set for the Mr. and some gardening stuff for the Mrs, and then we topped it off with hot dogs and sodas for a $1.50 at Costco while picking up a few items. Those hot dogs hit the spot. And then off to Hauula to our little hut a la playa.

Sooo... it's FRIDAY!! Happy happy friday!! thank heaven it's the weekend!
Yesterday I got off early from work and spent the day with Cameron getting my hair done, taking a nap, and going to the temple. This picture wasn't us last night but a month ago or so. The temple is so amazingly beautiful and so peaceful to visit.
Sooo... here are some pics because I'm bored and I feel like I have a lot to catch up on!
Here is us at Waikiki Beach tandem surfing on a 12 foot board.... you can seriously catch anything
Cameron surfin'...
Living in Hawaii has been an experience so far... it's wonderful but it does have it's down sides... gross critters... Last night, I was changing in my car before I went to the gym and i huge (i mean huge!!) cockroach crawled up my leg! Of course I was screaming and freaking out and Cameron thought something had seriously gone wrong, but it was NASTY!
Also, we've had unexpected visitors such as a rat in our bathroom this week (this is cameron setting the traps and we did catch it!),
a huge spider the size of my hand at the gas station,
and so many lizards and geckos I can't count!!
Don't get me wrong... Hawaii's wonderful. :)

Aloha!!So I'm on my lunch break right now fixing up my blog!! I actually really like doing this.
I had a picture of our hut so I decided I should put it up. It's such an adorable little beach house, we love it. So things are going great. Cameron is busy with school and being the best looking Pizza Hut delivery boy around. He has fun there since his friends all work there with him. And I'm the working woman traveling downtown everyday and working at Vanpool Hawaii. Specifically, I do a lot of marketing and especially to the military.
Other than that, we have a great ward here that we love and never want to leave and great neighbors as well!
Cameron and I love being at the beach any time we can! Late Saturday afternoon there was a random swell at Sunset beach with waves close to 20 feet. I insisted that C
ameron brought Andy and so the two of them went out surfing. After, the three of us had a nice little picnic on the sand. So much fun... Cameron and I love it here. It stinks that we can't just play all the time here but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.General Conference was wonderful as usual and Cameron and I watched that at the building because a. it's on live at 6 am in Hawaii, b. we don't own a t.v. or cable, and c. we focus a lot better there.
After we made yummy Sunday pizza's with poppy, blakey, and the Pierce family.
